That was a comment to my bestus poet friend. Here are the first two en. What inspired you to write Romeo and What's Her Name? It started off as a short story, and when I learned about Swoon Reads, I decided to turn it into a full book. The initial idea was sparked by an incredibly embarrassing moment I experienced in high school where I had to recite a poem in French, but never memorized the words, and wound up speaking in gibberish!

Bunu had moved to a new town with her mother and was ready to make new friends in the storybook What's Her Name? by Tomac Scott. She missed her old friends but she was so excited to make new friends that she packed her own lunch and ran out before her mother was even ready. The whole class laughed when she said her name was Bunu. She could hear some of them in the class making fun of her . Writing a short poem about a book is an effective way to summarize a topic, theme or character in an artistic way. Poetry is descriptive and emotional, so you can focus on elements of the book that inspired, intrigued or moved you. You won't be able to summarize the entire book in your short poem, so focus on one.

I'm up for just about anything and I respond to all requests. A poem is a form of art in which the skillful choice and arrangement of words achieves a desired emotional effect. Poet Percy Bysshe Shelly defined poetry as the expression of the imagination. Robert Frost said that a poem forms when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

And not enough about a name; And yet a good name's better far Than all earth's glistening jewels are. Who holds his name above all price And chooses every sacrifice To keep his earthly record clear, Can face the world without a fear.

This is wordplay and it's fun to try. Here are some examples Paul provides to help us see very clearly how these short little poems work. Whether a lover of poetry can't get a specific line out of their head or simply can’t remember the whole poem they're thinking of, finding the text of a poem can be easy and quick.

Longer ("full length") poetry books are usually perfect bound and can range from 60 pages upwards. Notice that I am using pages rather than number of poems. It is one poem per page, but if your work is longer, a poem may take multiple pages.
